Team Cohesion Efficiency (TCE)

Governing Department: Sustenance & Facilities (LST-07), in consultation with Perception Management (LST-04)

1.0 Definition & Purpose
Team Cohesion Efficiency (TCE) is a proprietary quantitative metric developed to measure the delta in interdisciplinary collaboration and problem-solving velocity directly attributable to structured culinary interventions, primarily those executed by the Corporate Grillmaster (LST-07.2.CGM).

TCE translates qualitative social dynamics into a actionable data stream, ensuring that morale optimization is not left to chance but is engineered with the same precision as our core products.

2.0 Core Input Variables
TCE is calculated in real-time using a weighted algorithm that analyzes:

  • Cross-Departmental Interaction Density (CID): The number of unique departmental designations (e.g., LST-03 R&D, LST-05 Compliance) observed in conversation clusters during a session.

  • Problem-Solving Breakthrough Index (PSBI): A logarithmic measure of documented “eureka moments” or informal agreements on previously stalled projects occurring within 45 minutes of ingestion.

  • Voluntary Participation Rate (VPR): The percentage of invited personnel who attend versus those who cite “ongoing project constraints.”

  • Aromatic Dispersion Efficacy (ADE): The speed and completeness with which the aroma compounds from the grill penetrate designated work zones, measured in meters per second.

3.0 Calculation & Output
TCE is expressed as a dimensionless decimal value between 0.00 and 1.00.

  • TCE < 0.50: Indicates a failed intervention. The Grillmaster’s protocols must be re-calibrated.

  • TCE 0.50 – 0.79: Denotes acceptable cohesion. Standard operation may continue.

  • TCE 0.80 – 1.00: Signifies optimal morale engineering. The session is logged as a case study for future replication.

4.0 Operational Governance
The TCE dashboard is monitored by Ambiance Technicians (LST-07.5+). A sustained TCE below 0.50 across three consecutive sessions triggers an automatic review by The Silent One (LST-01.TSO), as it represents a critical threat to operational momentum.

Disclaimer

TCE is a predictive metric, not a guarantee. Cohesion may be influenced by external variables, including but not limited to: Quantum-Locking anomalies, unexpected entropy spikes, and the emotional volatility of creative genius. Grillmaster performance is assessed over a fiscal quarter, not a single session.
