1.0 Preamble
All materials developed for or incorporated into LaStill Standard 2046 components must be cataloged under a unified system to ensure traceability, iteration control, and secrecy. This protocol defines the structure for all material designations.

2.0 Nomenclature Structure
The official designation shall follow the format:

LST-MAT-[ABR-#]-[ITER].[SUB]

Where:

LST-MAT: Fixed prefix denoting a LaStill Material.

[ABR]: A 3-letter abbreviation of the material’s common name (e.g., CFV for Chrono-Forged Vanadium).

[-#]: A unique registration number. This number is generated algorithmically based on the exact nanosecond of the material’s first stable manifestation (Gregorian-UTC). This serves as a non-sequential, cryptographically secure identifier.

[ITER]: A two-digit iteration number (e.g., 01, 02). Represents the major generational version of the material. “01” denotes the first stable iteration released for application.

[SUB]: An alphanumeric sub-designation denoting a minor variant or optimization within a major iteration (e.g., 7A, B2).

4.0 Governance
The LaStill Material Registry is maintained by R&D Sub-division LST-03.41. Allocations of registration numbers are automatic and non-negotiable. Falsifying a registration number is grounds for immediate re-assignment to Foundational Support (Tier 0).
